Forward in the Field
What is Forward in the Field ?
Forward in the Field is an ongoing Learning Network email series that highlights active community-based and academic research projects, including initiatives such as accessible virtual trainings, workshops, and campaigns, all aimed at addressing GBV across Canada.
The series is designed to support broader community efforts by offering a platform to share research project information and expand outreach and recruitment. In doing so, we aim to foster a more dynamic, interconnected network of organizations and individuals united in addressing and responding to GBV.
To contribute to a future edition, we invite you to submit your project using the form below .
To explore previous Forward in the Field releases, please see the archived newsletters below.
Please Note: Some of the projects featured in past Forward in the Field newsletters may no longer be active. For the most up-to-date information, we encourage you to reach out directly to the organizations or communities listed.
Submit to Forward in the Field!
We invite you to submit your community-based or academic projects and initiatives for consideration in future editions.
We are looking for currently active projects, including trainings, workshops, and campaigns. During our selection process, we prioritize workshops and trainings that offer online or virtual access, especially those that are provided free of charge. This approach helps ensure broader access and encourages participation from diverse audiences within the GBV sector.
While we strive to include as many submissions as possible, please note that the number of projects featured will depend on our capacity and the order in which submissions are received.
All our resources are open-access and can be shared (e.g., linked, downloaded and sent) or cited with credit. If you would like to adapt and/or edit, translate, or embed/upload our content on your website/training materials (e.g., Webinar video), please email us at gbvln@uwo.ca so that we can work together to do so.
