More Than A Footnote: Disability and Gender-Based Violence

Sophia Sahrane, DAWN Canada’s Project Coordinator for its Rooting Resilience: Peer-support for women with disabilities in Canada project, leads this presentation focused on gender-based violence through a disability and intersectional lens. Sharing the facts and realities of women with disabilities, their experiences accessing gender-based violence services, and taking part in their own healing, organizing, and advocating for their own rights.
